Christmas Ornament - Frantaged

Good morning.

It looks like it's going to be a dull damp miserable day here today - but only weather wise :o)

Jack and I are going to the cinema this afternoon to see Monsters University - I remember the first Monsters Inc. from 2001 - Jack was only 3 1/2 and he loved it - hopefully he'll love this one just as much :o)

Today I'm here to share a non-DT card and I have been continuing on with some Christmas makes.

I love my new Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments 2011 dies and my favourite scrummy Frantage:

I die cut the largest of the ornament dies and then embossed it with Couture Creations 'Tied Tigether' embossing folder. Edges inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and then sprinkled with Shabby White Frantage.

Background embossed with Papermania Snowflake embossing folder and edges inked with Walnut Stain and then sprinkled with Shabby White Frantage also.

Sentiment from Pink Gem Designs - 'Christmas Circle Sentiments Set 2'

Snowflakes: Spellbinders Create a Flake and Martha Stewart Punch

Adhesive Pearls and Mini Bow from stash

Home Decor - NOEL

Good morning my lovely crafty friends and welcome to my latest new followers - thank you so much for taking the time to follow me - hope you enjoy your visits and stay a while.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. The weather was somewhat strange - threatened showers and thunderstorms and then glorious sunshine all within the same day - certainly not the weather to iron outside as I did on Friday :o)

Not sure what today's weather will bring - at the moment (7:30am) it's very blustery and cloudy but with an air of brightness as well - if that's possible??!!!

The best thing to do when the weather is so unpredictable I guess is to have a little play with my crafty goodies - so that's what I did over the weekend and today I would like to share a piece of home decor I have made which will be a gift for either Jamie & Rowie or Aaron & Kerry for Christmas using an MDF piece I got from either the NEC earlier in the year or I think it could have been from Harrogate last year!!!

I started by painting the letters using a pearlised paint and then added the following die cuts:

Memory Box: Lindeman Snowflake - MCH

Precious Ornaments (with the bows snipped off) -  MCH

Spellbinders: Poinsettia

Martha Stewart: Arctic Snowflake

Gingham Ribbon and adhesive pearls from stash

A touch of Star Dust Stickles

Thanks for all your support and well wishes regarding my elbow - I had my 'big' dressing taken off yesterday and saw the scar and mass of bruises for the first time since the Op - not a pretty sight I can tell you - I did think about sharing a piccie but I don't think you would appreciate it lol!!!

It does feel good to have that dressing off though - it was starting to get itchy and really uncomfortable.

Hope you've had a lovely day.

Thanks for popping by.
