White with a Hint???

Good morning. Just popping on with a quick post this morning before the all the family arrive for Sunday lunch - scrummy roast beef and all the trimmings - oh my tummy is rumbling already :o)

I had another request from my MiL yesterday to make another card for her friend's Grandson and taking inspiration from this week's challenge at Lil's Little Fairies this is what I came up with:

I just hope that my 'hint of red' isn't too much?

Card base is 8" x 8" - made from A3 Linen card from the Papermill

And the main reason I went for a larger card was to use this fabulous pre-coloured topper from LOTV - perfect for when you need a card super fast :o)

I embossed the square panels - made with the off cuts from the base card with Spellbinders M-Bossabilities 'So Trendy' and then lightly inked with Barn Door Distress Ink

Stars and aplhas die cut using Cricut Expression and George and Basic Shapes cartridge

Sentiment - LOTV

I hope both the sender and the recipient are happy with the end result :o)

Challenges I would like to enter:

Lil's Little Fairies - White with a Hint of Colour

Crafts 4 Eternity - When I Grow Up

Frosted Designs - Embossing

Cute Card Thursday - Feature Letters/Numbers

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Sisterhood of Crafters - Happy Birthday

MMCS - Stars

Thanks for popping by today - your visit is really appreciated.

A Scrap LO for Allsorts

Good morning. Brrrrr it's turned really cold here overnight - I just might have to relent and turn the heating up a notch - which will please John as he has been wanting the heating on since we got back from our jolly holibobs in August!!! But at least the sun is shining - that's the best bit about Autumnal days I think - bright fresh and crisp days - perfect for an afternoon stroll to blow away the cobwebs - so I might just do that this afternoon :o)

Anyways I'm here to share my project with you for the new challenge over at

ALLSORTS

and this week our lovely Nicola - who sadly will be leaving us after this challenge - has picked the theme

A SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT

Here's what I did

I adore this photo of my eldest son Jamie with my scrummilicious Grand-daughter Lola Arizona

I went for a 'Great British' theme as Lola was born in London and it is one of Jamie's favourite places.

I chose to frame this LO - deep box frame from Hobbycraft - and it now has pride of place in Jamie's house. He was thrilled to receive it :o)

DP's - Papermania 'Portobello Road'

I punched all around the page using Martha Stewart PATP Scrolled Lace

Scrummy flowers from Wild Orchid Craft

MB Madera Corner Die - from MCH

East of India Heart Ribbon

Marianne Createables Butterfly Die and Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

Alphas die cut using Cricut Expression and George and Basic Shapes cartridge

Good afternoon. What a damp miserable day it has been all day - so the best course of action was to hide away in my lovely little crafty haven and have a good old crafty play :o)

I was sooooo very very lucky this week to have won these scrummilicious goodies:

Helen's 4th Blogoversary Candy

 Lisa's 4th Blogoversary Candy - £20 voucher from Natalie & Amy's

Here's what I bought :o)

And finally this adorable stamp from LOTV from the mini blog hop that I won at Fleur's blog

So I'd like to say a mahoosive THANK YOU to you all for your very kind generosity :o)

I had a little play with the Sheena Douglass Silhouette Grasses stamps I got  from Natalie & Amy's and here's what I came up with:

I started with a plain piece of white card and inked it with Fired Brick, Dried Marigold and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks - I like these rich Autumnal colours - and then spritzed it with some water.

Then I stamped the corner swirl image from the set using Flitter Glu and added some Gilding Flakes.

I also stamped the main floral image and one of the sentiments from the set using the Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.

I added a few Martha Stewart punched butterflies - coloured with the Distress Inks and a few adhesive pearls added to the centres.

The background for the image topper was made using co-ordinating cardstock panels embossed with my favourite butterfly embossing folder and my new Couture Creations 'Tied Together' embossing folder with a little scrummy gold ruffled edge ribbon.

Sentiment - Creative Expressions

Crazy Challenges - Thank You card

Totally Gorjuss - Thank You

Thanks for your visit.

Good morning. I can hardly believe how fast this week has gone and that it's Thursday already - but it is so that means it's time for a new challenge over at

and hopefully this week it will be a little bit easier for you than last week as the theme is

GIRLY GIRLY PRIM AND PROPER

as picked by our very lovely Judith

 Here's what I did:

I took my initial inspiration from the challenge over at Tiddly Inks this week

and used the LO

This is one of my most favourite Tiddly Inks image 'Wryn Grow a Little Love' and I think she is so very girly - don't you?

I have coloured her with PM's and FM's and added some Diamond Stickles to her heart flowers.

I added some Stampendous Shabby Pink embossing enamel to the Prim Poppy (Memory Box) flower heads - see I told you I was addicted to these embossing enamels lol!!! But I just love the effects you can achieve with them :o)

The scrummy design papers are First Edition 'Birdsong'

This also used:

Martha Stewart - Butterfly Punch and Scrolled Lace PATP

Adhesive pearls form stash
