Pretty Pink Christening

Good morning.  Ok who stole the sunshine and can they please give it back :o)

I was really hoping we would hold onto the fab weather we have been having as Lola Arizona is coming to stay for the weekend and we wanted to take her to the seaside - so fingers crossed it puts in another appearance soon :o)

Today my share is a card I was asked to make by Kerry (Aaron's girlfriend) with a little more notice than I usually get - asked for it on Tuesday and wanted me to take it round on Wednesday when we went for tea - Aaron usually phones in the morning and asks for a card the same day - so I guess it's getting better lol!!! Although Jack holds the record for the shortest notice as yesterday morning at 8:08 (we leave the house for school at 8:10) he asked for a card for his friend - luckily I had a suitable teenage boy card in my stock :o)

So for my fairly quick make I used one of the gorgeous (and great value for money) LOTV die cuts

and teamed it with some scrummy Papermania Parkstone Pink papers

This also used:

Spellbinders Heart Squares

Martha Stewart Scalloped Heart Border Punch

Angel Charm

Wild Orchid Paper Roses

Papertake Weekly - Fab Dawny P Sketch

Lil's Little Fairies - Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Divas by Design - Anything Goes

Stampavie and More - For a Girl

Craft Your Passion - For a Baby

Right gotta go get Lola's room sorted out and get some shopping in before she arrives so I can have more snuggle time when she gets here :o)

Hope to have some photos to share early next week - John treated himself to a swanky new camera - it's the bees knees - just hope it comes out of the case occasionally :o)

Thanks for your visit today - I really appreciate it.

It would be great to know you've been so I can come and visit you too :o)

Have a fabulous day.

Good morning. Hope you are all keeping well and those not I wish well soon.

Today I would like to share a card I made just for the fun of it :o)

With some of my birthday money I treated myself to some Stampendous stamps that I';ve had mny eye on for a while - this Butterfly Post is one of them - I just love it!

I started by inking a piece of linen cardstock with Dusty Concorde and Broken China Distress Inks and then overstamped the image and heat embossed it with Cosmic Shimmer EP

I mat and layered this onto another piece of cardstock inked with the same Distress Inks and then added a mix of Embossing Powders and Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels along the bottom and heat embossed as per the 'Encrsuted Jewel' technique

Sentiment - Creative Expressions

This also used:

Spellbinders M Bossabilities - 'Whimsy'

Anything Goes at An Oldie But Goodie

Good morning.  Big hello and welcome to all my lovely new followers - so good to see you - hope you like what you see and decide to stay a while :o)

At last the summer seems to have arrived and we are being spoilt with some gorgeous weather aren't we? The downside though is that it's too hot to craft in my little crafty haven after mid-morning - but I'm not complaining. Some of my good blogging buddies are far worse off as they have to work in this heat - and some have to work extremely long hours :o(

Today we have a new challenge for you over at

but first I would like to thank everyone that joined in with my

'Things With Wings' challenge last time - there were so many gorgeous entries it was a difficult task to pick a Top3 - don't forget to pop over to the main challenge blog and see if you were one.

So our theme for the next fortnight is

ANYTHING GOES

it couldn't get easier than that now could it :o)

I'm sharing another card I have made for Jamie for his birthday early June - this will be from John's Mum.

I have used a fab Mo Manning image 'Paul Texting' that I have had for absoulutely ages (this is my 6 months or more item) and have never got round to printing and colouring - but as Jamie never seems to have his phone out of his hands I knew it would be just perfect :o)

Image coloured with PM's and FM's

The DP's are from my favourite Nitwits Collection at the moment - Tour of London FBQ

which shows how versatile this collection is as it isn't just for Jubilee/Olympic projects.

Another item that is more than 6 months old that I have used are the star punches ands the sequin stars on the top layer - I won those in a blog candy about 2 years ago!

The scrummy ribbon is East of India - a bargain buy on Ebay

Sentiment from Craftwork Cards - layered onto two stars offset with eachother.

Border punch - Martha Stewart

Challenges I would like to enter:

Crafty Boots - Anything Goes

Kaboodle Doodles - Anything Goes

Lexi's - For the Man/Boy in our Lives

Make it Monday - Anything Goes

One Stop Craft - For the Boys

Fairy Tale - Boys & Men

Simon Says Stamp - Father's Day or Special Man

Stampavie and More - For a Boy

Waste Not Wednesday - Use Forgotten Stuff

We have a fab prize up for grabs this week

but you have to be in it to win it :o)

You also must use something from your stash that is 6 months or more old (and tell us what it is)

 to qualify for the prize.

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the awesome inspiration from the rest of my DT buddies - you won't be disappointed:o)

Thanks for your visit today and any lovely comments you may leave - I really appreciate it.
